Last week IGNITE studied The Seven Penitential Psalms, which are traditionally used for meditation and prayer during Lent. We took a look at these prayers as a form of right prayer, including their context within Lent. These seven psalms show us a way to pray during times of personal struggle with sin, in which we beg the Lord’s mercy. Lastly, we took a collective look at Psalm 51, the great prayer of David’s repentance after his transgression against Bathsheba and Uriah.
